Commander & Auxiliaries  Message:

Comrades, Auxiliaries and friends,

Well summer is about to wind down and kids are starting back to school.  Enjoy your Labor Day weekend and the last few trips up north.

We’ll be looking for volunteers in late October for our annual clean up for winter.  So keep us in mind.

Taco dinners will start up again on the 7th and 21st.  John Gerken and his crew have retired but Bob and Jan Garstecki will take over, as of now prices will remain the same for the hard and soft tacos and the taco salad.

Ladies will have their night out at the club starting at 7:00pm with happy hour prices for them.  There will also be  games and prizes.  So ladies come out Saturday the 24th.

September.  Remember you must have a ticket in

advance to get a steak dinner.  No dinners sold at the door on the 10th.  The usual price is $10.00 and includes a NY strip steak cooked the way you want it, potato, vegetable, roll, dessert, etc. Dinner is from 1-5 pm  Saturday the 10th of  September.

We’ll start our fall dinners in October.  On the 1st it’ll be our pork sandwich dinners for $7.50, November 5th is our deep fried turkey dinner $8.00, and December 3rd is our steak sandwiches for $6.00.  All dinners will start at 2:00 pm until gone.

The Men’s Aux. will host at few college football games on our big screen and serve various finger foods.  The first game is October 15th  when Michigan State plays U of Michigan.  November 26th  when U of Michigan plays Ohio State and December 10th for the Army Navy game.  Because TV will sometimes change the time of showing its hard to post the exact game times.  If the game starts at noon we’ll be open, if its 3:30 pm we’ll open at 2:30 pm bring your friends down and enjoy the game in HD on the big screen grab a bite to eat and have a beverage or two.

The Ladies Auxiliary has issued a challenge for

Veterans day to the men.   The ladies want to have a bake sale on Veteran’s Day with the donations going to the cancer campaign.  The rules are this, men are to make the bake items.  The men can only take advice from the women but they (the women) can not help or make the items.   The best tasting item from the men will earn a visa gift card.  Those men who enter the contest will also get a free drink.

"In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year, bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.
And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time, do we get such superb color effects as from August to November."

America is stronger than ever. We will forever remember those we lost on September 11, 2001. In   honoring their memory, we will remain true to our commitment to freedom and democracy.
