Commander & Auxiliaries  Message:

Comrades, Auxiliaries and friends, 

      This will be the start of a new newsletter format.  As we have been saying with the rising costs of printing and postage it is harder to keep doing this every month so as of this month January and including February this will be somewhat how the newsletter will look.  SO KEEP THIS HANDY (on the refrigerator)  for all the Post, Ladies and Men’s Auxiliaries new and up coming events.  We will not print extra newsletters that you can pick should you lose the old one.  To find out what each unit is doing you’ll have to read all of the newsletter.    

 

DUES FOR 2011 WERE DUE BY DECEMBER 31st or you lose your V.F.W. privileges.  Stop by the club or

attend your meetings to pay your 2011 dues.  The

bartenders will check for your new card before serving you in January 2011.  The guards at your meeting will check for your new card before you can attend your meeting.  A paid receipt will be honored until you get your new card. 

      Hope all of you had a joyous holiday season.  Now that the holidays are over take a deep breath and put your feet up  - before you have to shovel more snow. 

      I’m sure most of you are getting burned out by football one more month to go.  We still have some games to go, so remember on Saturday and or Sunday the Club is going to try and do hotdogs 75₵ or two for $1.50  and brats $1.50 each both come with chips and fixings.  We had our

planning meeting for the next six months at the Post and Club, some exciting things are planned so keep watching the newsletters. 

    January 15th soup & sub sandwiches $6.00. February 12th nacho dinners $5.50.

     Membership is important for our Post and Auxiliaries let’s see if each unit can get 5 new and or reinstated members each for their final totals. 

     Remember February starts cabin fever if you’re not planning a warm climate trip.  Come down to the Club and socialize a bit with friends members and relatives.  

     Don’t forget the 9th District meeting in February at St. Louis on the 9th it starts at 1:00 pm but they’ll put on  a lunch that usually starts around 11:30 am or noon.   There are usually a car or two going there  so we can fill them up.

      Men’s Auxiliary is doing an Italian steak sandwich  on Super bowl Sunday February 6th for $5.50.  Meal starts  at 3:00pm until gone and the game starts at 6:30 pm .  Come down and support and help out, we need volunteers.  For those who helped and supported us last year thanks a lot.  Also just keep in mind he first Saturday in March the Men’s Aux. will put on a spaghetti dinner for only $6.50. 

     Ladies are planning a 2nd “Ladies Night Out” at the club on Feb. 12th starting at 8:00pm with happy hour prices only for the ladies.  Bring snacks, have fun, games , prizes  with fellow

sisters. 

     I wish to thank the Post, Ladies and men’s auxiliary for the many contributions, time and effort  in delivering to the families so well deserved at this time of the year.  This has made their holidays a much happier time. 

     The year is half over and soon it’ll be time to choose of next years leaders so start  planning for it. 

     Let’s keep our families, friends and other loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.  God bless our veterans for without them, where would we be?   Remember to keep his newsletter for two months.
