Carrollton / Zilwaukee VFW Post 1859 Our Mission
We at Post 1859 Carrollton/Zilwaukee, are here as a strong voice for the veteran and have been serving the
communities in the Saginaw area since 1936 with projects, programs and events promoting and supporting
the veteran cause. Our continuing mission is to improve and expand that support for all former, present and
future veterans, their families, the surrounding communities and all our military branches. Our success of
Post 1859 has been built on thousands of hours of volunteer help, major patriotic and educational efforts,
and services to our military, its veterans, and their
families. Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United
States Post 1859 has been honoring the veteran “dead
by helping the living.”
